Just when Makoto finds himself returning to a normal, day-by-day routine with his commute to school, his train gets attacked... by a UFO?! From there things start to get crazy, as a young girl calling herself Magical Heart shows up and destroys the alien ship. Little does he know that this is only the first phase of a diabolical plan to turn all of the men in the city into mindless, molesting zombies, and that he's caught smack dab in the middle of it! Starring the eponymous Kane Himuro and her two friends, Makidera Kaede and Saegusa Yukika, the series revolves around their daily lives in Homurahara Academy and Fuyuki City. The story is centered around classic school events such as a ball game tournament, field trips and inter-high school competitions. The events of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War happen in the background, generally not directly affecting the main characters.

In the school the three people met. Their relation had been changed in the season, and turned into three love stories.Makoto has been admiring a girl he has seen on the train. That girl is Kotonoha Katsura, and he even managed to take a photo of her with his cell phone. Due to new seating in his class, he ends up next to Sekai Saionji, a nosy, but sweet and sincere girl. As she snoops for his cell phone while talking to him, she discovers his crush and vows to help him until Kotonoha agrees to go out with him. When Sekai finally gets them together, she realizes her own feelings after finding out that the person Kotonoha liked was, in fact, Makoto. While waiting for her train next to Makoto, who was waiting for Kotonoha, she has him talking about how he can repay her for all of her help. Before leaving for her train, she kisses him and cries when she boards the way home. Kotonoha happily arrives for her date with Makoto shortly after. Makoto Ito is a young Japanese high school student beginning his second term at the fictional Sakakino Academy. During his daily train rides to and from school, he becomes infatuated with fellow student Kotonoha Katsura; a girl that also commutes. When a new classmate acquaintance of his, Sekai Saionji, discovers his secret crush on Kotonoha, she helps introduce both of them to each other and over time they grow closer and agree to date. However in spite of her proud and triumphant matchmaking efforts, Sekai inadvertently becomes jealous of the new couple, having also developed feelings toward Makoto.
The following afternoon on her way home at the nearby train station in front of the school, Sekai finds Makoto waiting for Kotonoha to rendezvous for a date. He sits with her and reiterates his appreciation for her help, and feeling heavily indebted, offers repayment anyway he can.
